Description: We have an opening in the Cable Assembly Department for a Cable Assembler. This is a temporary, non-exempt position for 2nd Shift, lasting approximately 3-6 months. The purpose of this job will be to solder and assemble cables to a print, or with written or verbal instruction. The person hired will also be required to keep the work space safe and clean and to help out in other areas as needed. •High School/GED or Tech School Graduate •Must be able to read and understand manufacturing blueprints, point to point wiring diagrams and use basic measuring tools •Must be able to test using basic electrical equipment •Prefer experience in soldering and crimping wires, and lean manufacturing processes •Must be able to speak English and have basic math skills •Must be able to lift over 50 pounds with mechanical dexterity •Able to sit and stand for long periods of time •Must work well in a team environment as well as independently. •Must be willing to cross-train and work with chemicals and solvents •Basic computer skills are necessary
