Description: Microwave Design and Test Engineer will be responsible for product design, development and test engineering. Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of organization. Understanding or experience in/of a "World Class" or "Lean" manufacturing environment preferred. BSEE required, advanced degree preferred. 12+ years of hands-on Microwave (up to K-band) design, and testing experience required. Fiber Optic Transmitter/Receiver experience desirable but not required. • Design and project engineering, RF and Microwave circuits 40% • Develop test methods, process, fixtures, equipment and ATE 40% • Manufacturing test support, trouble-shooting, fault isolation and corrective actions 10% • Marketing support 10% Hands-on design experience with Switches, Detectors, Low Noise Amplifiers, Filters, Mixers, Converters and Multi-Functional Assembly. Must be able to perform substrate/PCB design and layout, develop packaging approaches, evaluated and select components/materials. Must be able to interpret test requirements, develop test and tune fixtures and processes, and select test equipment. RF and Microwave modeling, analysis and design software, such as, Microwave office, ADS and HFSS modeling Project management tools, such as MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Test equipment - function and noise generators, power and SWR meters, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, such as Agilent E8362/3/4, N5230C, N8975A, E4407B, E4418, E8257, E8663, N9010, 8110A, N5138A etc. SECRET clearance.
