Description: Teledyne Impulse has an immediate opening for a Quality Analyst 2 (QA2) in San Diego, CA. The QA2 position provides technical support by evaluating and analyzing data during the process qualification from conceptual stage to final customer approval and production startup. Identifies and corrects ongoing quality problems through analysis and subsequent recommendations on the manufacturing floor. Works closely with Engineering and Operations to establish priorities, qualify processes, and effectively address process quality issues. Maintains the ISO system. Provides gage and instrument support to production and receiving inspection. Prepares professional reports to management regarding various processes, qualifications, and problems. Requirements: • Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering or Quality Discipline, and a minimum three (3) years related experience in a manufacturing environment. Extensive experience in a high volume manufacturing environment may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree. • Hands on experience with implementing and maintaining ISO 9001 programs including internal audit and procedure writing. • Experience working on Process FMEAs and control plans. • Experience with misc. handheld measuring tools and optical measuring devices. • U.S. Citizen or permanent resident (Green Card) status. Knowledge and Skills: • Skilled in applying quantitative methods (i.e. Six Sigma) to identify, prioritize, problem solve, implement, and monitor process improvements. • Possess a working knowledge of all Microsoft Office products, and various data collection software. • Familiar with using established metrics to concisely and effectively show progress on established goals and initiatives. • Ability to speak/understand Chinese Mandarin considered a plus, but not necessary.
