Description: TELEDYNE RELAYS is currently seeking a talented professional to join an innovative leader in electro-mechanical devices as a PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR. Essential requirements of the position: Manage assembly of commercial, military, and space coaxial switches. Also manage environmental testing of coaxial switches and assembly of coax switch matrixes. • Supervise work flow/supply chain and allocation of resources. • Set up work stations, work cells and improve manufacturing flow • Assist in new product development, product improvement, process improvement and tooling development • Assist Sales with customer communications about proposed schedule time tables, progress to schedules, and price • Assist in developing product pricing and SCD review • Monitor project schedule timeliness, and communicate progress to schedule to sales department. * Supervise assemblers and technicians • Work with Personnel from Manufacturing, Engineering and Sales Departments to keep projects on schedule. This position requires creative ability, interpersonal skills and independent judgment. Experience and training in Lean Manufacturing Principals and experience in CNC operations is helpful. The ability to multi-task with multiple concurrent projects is required, as well as, knowledge of supply chain management. The ability to manage and work with people from diverse backgrounds, ethnicities and cultures is important; while the ability to resolve internal issues and conflicting priorities for coax product lines is crucial. The candidate should have keen and disciplined analytical skills, problem solving skills and the drive to implement solutions in a real world manufacturing setting. The qualified candidate must be able to use computer programs for communication, tracking progress and record keeping, such as Microsoft Office, Gant Charts and Microsoft Project. Candidate must be a Permanent Resident or a U.S. citizen. The position requires an AA college degree, Bachelor of Science in Engineering is a plus. Candidate also should have at least ten (10) years experience in assembly/manufacturing supervision and experience in the manufacture of precision electro-mechanical, RF, coaxial switches or similar products.
